The Curse is Alive and Well

Cameron blew like the wind during the exciting Cub Scout Regatta, but just as in the case of the Pinewood Derby, top honors were not to be.



He was actually astoundingly prophetic. Before the races he informed me (with no regrets, wistfulness, nor any trace of sorrow—it was actually more of a kind of perverse pride), “I won’t come in first--I always come in second!”

And he proceeded to do just that!
