How to Ask for a Favor--NOT!

This morning after the other two kids had gone to school, Cindy told Makenna that she was going to take a shower, which 'Kenner graciously acknowledged.
But when Cindy got out of the shower, she heard Makenna's blood-curdling screams from downstairs. Listening intently for a second, she judged that they weren't 'hurt' screams, so she decided to get dressed first. She figured that Makenna was probably bent forward in front of the downstairs toilet yelling for Cindy to come wipe her butt--if she ignored it, Makenna might try doing it herself.
But--surprise, surprise--when Cindy came down she found 'Kenner lying flat on her back in front of the TV, and it was abundantly clear that she was not hurt at all.
Makenna espied her and yelled out, 'I've been calling you for about an hour!!'
Cindy lovingly cooed back, 'Did you ever think to use the legs that your Heavenly Father gave you so you could walk upstairs and ask me your question, instead of sitting on your little butt and screaming at me!!?'
Makenna looked at her with a completely baffled look—either she had never even thought that such an option existed, or, more likely, she considered Cindy to be loony for having dared to entertain such a quaint notion.
Cindy turned around to leave the room.
Makenna, mimicking a Marine drill sergeant, then belted out, 'READ ME A STORY!' which was obviously what the entire ruckus had been about.

Somehow I don’t think she has gotten her story yet....maybe when she's 10 years old?
